The storm had taken a lot out of Alphonse. At first, he'd thought that he'd lost his cats forever when he woke up one day and they were nowhere to be found. And then, his apartment building had completely flooded. And now, everything - and he did mean everything - in the city was ruined.
Thankfully, his animals had returned, and it didn't look like there were too many casualties of the storm. He'd made sure he found his cats a nice place to stay, and then immediately turned his efforts to restoration of the town that had given him so much over the months.
First, was gathering materials. It wasn't so hard, considering how most of the rubble was still around, and there were odds and ends lying around on the streets. Then, there was the transmutation circle. And finally, after a bright flash of light, the apartment building was restored. It was nowhere as flashy as anything Edward would have fashioned, and Alphonse was aware that the inside was still messy and not furnished, but at least the structure stood once again. Stepping back, he took a brief second to make sure his creation wasn't about to topple over again. And then, he began to mentally debate on whether or not he should attempt restoring the things that used to be inside the building or move on to the next building.
He and Edward had had to use alchemy to clean up quite a few messes before (mostly ones that they'd started...) but this was far bigger than anything Alphonse had ever tried to do. This would take a lot more time. But at least he was helping out.
