Alchemy was a pretty well-known skill where Alphonse was from, and since he hadn't had much of a chance to actually use it here in Somarium, he was caught a little off guard at the question.
"Ah! Hello England. It was alchemy." Explaining 'alchemy' to people here in Somarium was always a hard task. Usually, Alphonse either went a little all-out with technicalities and lost his audience somewhere along the way or they just didn't believe him. But he gave it his best shot regardless.
"It's kind of a science where I'm from. The ability to change the form of something from one thing to another."
From a short distance away, he watched the armor boy amass materials and reconstruct the destroyed apartment buildings. With a circle, for if the boy had remembered being in the Portal, then he wouldn't need to waste time drawing circles. But all this didn't matter now. They had parted on semi-sour terms--Wrath wondered if he'd be able to mend things again. There was no harm in trying, he thought.
Alphonse was still unsure how to react around Wrath. No matter how nice the homunculus seemed, Al couldn't quite shake the bad feeling he'd gotten from their first encounter.
Still, the younger Elric brother had a habit of believing the best in everyone. And he was willing to give Wrath a second chance. He'd be on guard, of course, but he didn't see the point in holding a grudge. Especially if Wrath wasn't going to attack him himself.
"Ah, yes. I'd like to help out as much as I can. The flood was very destructive."
Wrath wasn't able to conceal his genuine surprise at Elric's willingness to overlook his past unpredictability.
"So I see," he nodded, surveying the wreckage. It was difficult for him still to sympathize with humans he had nothing to do with. And finding that unfathomable, asked the armor,
Alphonse was a little taken aback by the question. He'd never been asked a question so heartless before. It still took him a while to get used to the fact that Wrath wasn't exactly human.
"Because I would want someone to do the same for me, if I were in their shoes." Do unto others as you would like done to you. Or, in Alphonse's case, a simple philosophy of equivalent exchange.
Not that Sasuke would have been able to tell. Alphonse towered over the young ninja.
"That jutsu you just did. Can you do that on any building?" Granted Sasuke's not sure it's a jutsu per se, but it's the best word he has for what just happened.
"Jutsu...?" Alphonse blanked for a moment. Being a part of Somarium for so long has made Alphonse used to hearing strange and unfamiliar words. He quickly assumed that Sasuke was talking about the alchemy that he'd just performed.
"Oh! It's called alchemy. It's a science where I'm from. I could do it on any building as long as I had the proper materials."

"Hey." Sasuke calls out quietly to get the giant's attention. How in the world can someone move in all that armor?

"Hi!" He waved cheerfully. It wasn't really every day that he met someone close to his age here.
