Character(s): Sierra. Anyone who bothers to check on her.
Content: Sierra teaches her baby new tricks.
Setting: The workroom or the military base bunker

Sierra hoped that Odessa would not be outright angry with her for refusing to write a report on Damage's weaknesses, but she had been afraid to wait around to find out. Of all the people at the base, Odessa was the one she was the least certain of her standing around, as well as the one she owed the greatest gratitude toward- first for taking them all in, and second for allowing her use of the work room.

But Sierra had never been good at dealing with people socially. She was used to the people who knew she was a Shinra just following orders, and the ones who didn't simply ignoring her. Thinking back, the closest thing she had ever had to a friend were her colleagues, and her cousin. God, she hoped they were alive.

With a firm little frown, she schooled those thoughts away and threw herself into the one thing she was good at. Science. While she might not know how to talk to Odessa, she could at least improve her hoverbot's functionality and user interface, to make him better able to defend the base, locate newcomers, and tell them what it found without them having to come running to see for themselves.

Plugging the little robot in to charge, she pulled out her journal and started reviewing the code available to her within it's functions. She knew there was a speech generator. It would just take time for Hover to learn the meanings of the words in it's dictionary.

As she went through the code, she absently took notes on the faded pad of paper beside her, completely engrossed in her work. She didn't even notice when her stomach gave a little gurgle in protest of it's emptiness.
