Work Idiocy
Salesman needs to send a file from a floppy to someone through email.
Comes to me. This is our conversation.
Salesman: “I need to email this file to “company name”.
Me: *thinking ok so?* Saying “Ok, sooo?”
Salesman: “Could YOU do it?”
Me: “Why? You just drag and drop the file from the floppy onto a new email and hit send when you want to send it.” *Does a quick and easy demonstration*
Salesman: “Well, what port do you use?”
Me: “Port?!” *I point to the floppy drive* “You just use the floppy drive”.
Salesman: “I don’t think I have one of those.” *He shrugs like he's never heard of a disk before*
Me: *Knowing we all have floppy drives here* “Fine I’ll do it.”
Seriously, this is the kind of stupidity and laziness I put up with everyday.
I'll never forget the day I taught a salesman to right click. And I'm primarily a Mac user.
