Is MSN good for anyone?
I think most of us can agree that whenever our embedded sense of laziness begins to work on us, we simply open MSN for a tasty serving of diversion. Is it healthy to so frequently spend minutes and even hours absorbed in the internet? Is it healthy to rely upon internet messaging services as a primary method of human interaction?
I would say not.
Now, I am aware that I am as guilty of this as anyone, and I really have no intent to change my way of doing things. It just makes me wonder, however, what things will be like decades from now. For example, most of our parents do not use MSN in the same way or the same frequency as we do. So, when we are middle-age, will we still be chatting online with our friends instead of doing work?
I did a quick count of my MSN and ICQ contact lists, and realized that there are...
- 8 girls that I've dated.
- Among those 8, 5 that I still frequently talk to.
- 2 girls that I've been physically involved with, but never dated.
- And at least 3 girls with whom I have tried to become involved with over the internet, but failed.
