If you can spare them... Thoughts and prayers for my Luckadoo, please. He's sick, again. He always seems to get sick when the vets aren't open. :(

I'm giving him wet food with water and cranberry extract. Hopefully that can hold him over till at least Monday. I'm scared. There was a little drop or two of blood in some of his urine. :( Freak out.

He's ok. He has a UTI, big surprise. They tested his urine, and said it was "sludgy". Ew.

He's on meds. I'm just going to have to try and get him that special food. Which sucks, since i have NO money, and the vet visit today took up almost my whole paycheck... ugh....

So Lucky had his checkup today. All seems well. The type of crystals he had that caused the blockage are the struvite(?) crystals. I talked to Dr. B about the financial strain his special food is, and if there was a more commercial brand that was a close 2nd. She knows my position so she's realistic about it.  So, i went to Petco to pick up some special Urinary Tract Health cat food, in hopes that it'll be cheaper than at my vet. I think it is, but barely. So i feel like a bad mom today... i'm sick, and we're getting a mother of a storm. I've been in bed all day. They told me he might be able to come home today, so i kept putting off going to visit him... then they CLOSED due to the inclement weather!! So when i left work i headed straight to the vet. I miss my boy! He was all excited to see me, purring, kneading, rolling onto his back and such. He's so cute. The vet techs were "awwww-ing". "He's so happy to see you!" That's right, cuz i'm Mom. :D

So Lucky had the catheter put in and is peeing. Good, good. However, he is not eating. It's still early though. So the asked me to come down at some point and try to entice him to eat.
