They are the eggmen; I am the Llama

Thank you to arsenicjade for going with me to see , Trembling Before G-d at the Kansas Union last evening. It's a documentary about the experiences of Gay and Lesbian Orthodox/Hasidic Jews. I found it compelling and disturbing and incredibly emotional. I didn't expect to be that affected by it, but I guess there was a reason that I've never seen it in the 6 years since its been out. (Oh dear, that's a terrible pun.) I know the video store has a copy of it, but I've never been in the mood to watch it by myself.

Turns out that one of the law professors it attempting to get funding for a "Biodiversity Law" class for spring of 2007. The class would involve a weeklong research trip over winter break to the U.S. Virgin Islands and then spend the rest of the semester compiling a biodiversity law treatise which would be accessible online. I thought that sounded pretty cool. My dad warned me about lecherous law professors who will do anything to hang out with babes in bathing suits. I told him it was still contingent of funding from the university.

I have an interview with the Greater Kansas City Community foundation for a summer internship tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

the last thing in the world I want to do is study for finals. My first one is saturday morning.
