Somehow I've made it all the way to the third week of season four without posting about Lost. This must be rectified!
I actually like all four of the helicopter people (although, to be honest, I usually do like the new characters, only further confirming my suspicions that I FAIL AT LOST FANDOM and generally feel out of touch with the prevailing opinions of the show. But at least I'm enjoying it!), but OMG DAN IS THE BEST. I love his jitters and his nerdiness and his skinny skinny tie.
Christian Shephard! WHAAAAAT!!! I'm sure everybody saw that last mindblowing webisode, and then with him in Jacob's cabin I'm just like ...ahhhh!!!! I kind of hope he's still alive, like in a non-zombie sense (is it season seven yet?). Also, this is probably going to sound really silly, but my roommate has started me watching Project Runway for the past few weeks and OMG am I the only one who is totally reminded of Christian Shephard every time I see Tim Gunn?
Okay, roughly paraphrasing, but Locke's, "I'd be dead... if I still had a kidney there!" was seriously one of those moments where I'm reminded of just how much this is the best. show. ever. Everything does happen for a reason, John!
Ben. Ben Ben Bennity Ben. At the beginning of last season, when we found out his real (?) name, I remember calling my sister and bemoaning the fact that "Benjamin Linus" doesn't have much of an intense, threatening ring to it, so we instead christened him Benjamin "Badass" Linus to jazz it up a little bit. And, goodness, he is certainly living up to his title. Most importantly, HE IS ALIVE!!!!!! This is such a weight off my shoulders, at least for the time being; every episode I'm like, "Oh God, he's gonna get shot/bludgeoned to death/etc.," so it's nice to know that he makes it to the post-island life for a little while.
