I'm somewhere near the NC/VA border on the train. Been sitting here for about 15-20 minutes waiting on a freight train to come through (just zoomed past us). Then we have to back up past a switch to get on the other track and resume our trip. Should be home by 5:30pm. So looking forward to getting back home. Made my way to the hotel with labrown and his coworker. Got a bit lost when we got off the Metro and none of us could remember the actual name or where it was. Took a few steps in one direction and saw the sign! Got to my room and crashed. At that point my head really hurt and just feel like crap. Thanks to dan4behr for getting me to the train station on time. It's been so long I forgot how nice it can be. Much more relaxed than flying. You just get on the train and go. Been cool watching the country side (well, not everywhere). It's interesting to see a lot of old telephone/telegraph poles along the way to some history there. Business class ( Read more... )
