It's raining horizontally. Went outside to look...ever see hurricane footage on the weather channel? Yup. Looks like that.

It's now sleeting, and there's a special weather advisory for Denton and Tarrant counties that includes the phrase, "TRAVEL IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED ACROSS THE METROPLEX THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON."

Wheee! Thunder and lightning! It's raining REALLY hard right now, and in about an hour the temprature will finally drop below freezing. I'm hoping for lots of ice on the roads so that I can work from home tomorrow.

In other news, I have the first fire of the season going in the fireplace and my apartment now feels like the holidays.

I would much rather be curled up in bed with a good book than be at work right now.

It may only be 99° here now, and sure, it's 103° in Phoenix, but you know what...it sucks here MORE. People who have never lived in Phoenix say, "A dry heat...yeah, like a BLOWTORCH!
