My Joeys are on acid. The theme tonight was 'Trains' and so one activity involved thinking of things you see on a train trip. One Joey started with "I caught a train and I saw..." and named something. This moves around the circle with each Joey adding another item. The game ends when someone misses an item or forgets completely.
We ended up with "I caught a train and I saw...
- a moonrock reading the newspaper,
- a polar bear doing a handstand,
- the lochness monster eating a banana,
- a clown throwing cream pies,
- my sister cutting her hair and plaing www.barbie.com on a flat screen computer,
- a butterfly doing tae kwon do,
- my mum admiring a pink and yellow butterfly dress,
- a singing cow,
- a sleeping sloth,
- a zombie penguin,
- a painter painting peoples heads green,
- a house made of cheese,
- and a titan attacking the train...
Personally, I kept forgetting that the Lochness monster was eating a banana. My favourite though was the moonrock reading the newspaper. I wonder what type of events moonrocks find newsworthy.
I have to contact the Region Joey Leader to see if she knows of anyone who might be able to help out while I'm in Europe. Otherwise I'll have to close the mob down for four weeks (I'm away for two weeks of the school holidays). Although I only have four kids remaining. And frequently I'll only have one turn up (not always the same one) because the others have another activity to attend on the same night. I've whinged about this before, I know, but the mob is facing quite a predicament.
I think it's time for food.
