Today, I finally ventured behind the steering wheel of the car. :D
That's right! Today I took my first test drive with my dad as my co-pilot. Mind you, I had never been behind the steering wheel (with the car turned on, of course) before, so I was a bit nervous (tense, more like it). We don't have a manual shift car, so I had to learn with an automatic drive (which is apparently much easier). The car kept veering to the right (I think that might have been some subconscious reaction to whenever I saw a car on the left lane, making me veer to the right... yeah) and my movements were rather slow (and uncoordinated), but I think I did rather all right for a first time. Still, sorry to all the drivers behind me OTL;;
Now, I just have to get out of my mind the idea that I am on a bicycle (which is the closest I had ever gotten to driving on the street lol) and that I am now equal to the other drivers xD;; ... and that in order to steer, I need to move the steering wheel a lot and not just a bit as I'd do on a bike.
On other news, my little sister has discovered the wonders of handhelds and now I cannot get her to stop playing Nintendogs on my DS. She can't even read yet, but she can already do mostly everything and has been playing since yesterday afternoon. My, I see a little gamer in the making, hehe <3
