Well, as it turns out, we didn't go flying Saturday after all. Even though the weather was pretty sketchy, the problem was the pilot couldn't maintain contact with the tower due to the fact there was a short in the microphone. He didn't want to go up without having contact, so we were grounded. Hey, I'd rather have a cautious pilot than one that isn't. Maybe some other time.
There were tentative plans to go see 'Kong' this weekend, but the girl who I was going to go with's mom was in town and she wanted to see her. I was cool with that. Her mom lives in Georgia and so she doesn't get to see her very often. Maybe we can see it some other time.
I did go and see 'Narnia' with mom Sunday. It was good. I really liked it. It was along the same lines as LOTR, which isn't too surprising since C.S. Lewis and Tolkien were friends. And yes, I nearly cried when Aslan... well, I'll not go into details here.
And the new chappie of Furuba came out.
O_o Kyo continues his confession to Tohru about the guilt he feels over not doing anything to prevent Kyoko's death. He felt so bad since he had built up a friendly relationship with her and became concerned over Tohru, that he ran off and Kazuma took him to the mountains for four months. Upon his return, Akito wanted to see him since she'd heard of his disapperance and they had gotten into an argument where the bet of him defeating Yuki came up. He took it because if he found a way to focus on his 'hatred' for Yuki, he could forget his guilt over Kyoko. However, he never expected to run into Tohru of all people. He knew who she was almost right away. He said he acted the way he did because he wanted to try and push her away so he wouldn't begin to care for her again. But, it was to no avail due to Tohru's natural sweetness and charm. He ended up falling in love with her (which he tells her). He didn't want to since he thought that on that day, Kyoko had looked up at him and told him she'd never forgive him.
Tohru stands in stunned silence for a few moments. She then tells Kyo that is she expected to say she'd never forgive him. She says that she can't picture her mother saying something like that but if she did, then she'd actually have to openly defy her since she tells Kyo that she loves him. Kyo stares at her and tells he she's delusional. She couldn't possibly love him and then he runs off. Yuki, having overheard part of the conversation, comes out and tells Tohru to go back inside the house and dry off (it'd been raining) and he goes after Kyo. Meanwhile, Tohru, still in shock, is wandering around outside still. It isn't clear whether or not she's going back to the house or if she's going to follow Kyo. Akito suddenly creeps out of the bushes behind Tohru, wielding a knife, apparently unknown to Tohru.
Well, that was basically a gist of what happened. I'm trying to paraphrase from memory. And I'd like to apologize to my non-fandom readers about the semi-summation.
I need to send off my dad and step-mom's Christmas card since they asked me to send them one. I need to do it today so I can get it out in the mail soon. I also need to get mom's gift since I got my T-Mobile bill and I have until the first to pay it, so I have a bit off leeway there. I also wanted to get her something she'd not expecting, but I don't think I'll be able to do so.
Well, I'm going to download more Furuba chapters as well as read the chapter of ES I downloaded. Ciao!
Quote of the day: "God grant you the light in Christmas, which is faith; the warmth of Christmas, which is love;... the belief in Christmas, which is truth; the all of Christmas, which is Christ." -- Wilda English
