As I said in a previous post, I think SW:TOR has killed WoW for me. I am loving having a voice acted story so much that I don't think I can go back. I'll put up with it so I can hang out with my superheroes, but even that will be hard. Now, I have no idea what political messages were intended by the new (and apparently terrible - from a character perspective, anyway) Superman or from the infamous WoW torture quest, but there is one political message that both of those share with shows like 24 and, hell, nearly ever piece of fiction that features torture: torture works.

Aion is a gorgeous, gorgeous game set in a wonderfully weird world. Sadly, it has got the worst case of chain-mail bikini syndrome I've ever seen in an MMO. Now, I realize that it's only the forth MMO I've played and I'm sure there may be far worse offenders out there, but I really hope not.

While the gameplay is mostly enjoyable (though requiring of more skill than most MMOs), the game has some sexism issues - at least one of which is straight out of the comics. *sigh*
