Part of my job involves making posters for four or five talks each year, as part of Kenyon's Burton Morgan Lectureship Series.

I'll grant that I'm not a very good poster designer. In fact, I'm kind of bad at it. At least I admit it. But still, it's something I'm supposed to do. So I muddle through.

What a day week month summer it's been--it seemed that everybody wanted something from me. New jobs, redesigned jobs, photos, a new photo server.

Kenyon's course catalog (known until last year as the Course of Study) is finally getting the redesign it deserves. I basically have a clean slate, and I could go in any direction--although there are, of course, some budgetary restraints that affect design.

As a guy who makes his living with paper and ink, I am often annoyed hearing people urge to be "environmentally friendly" or "save trees" by just putting all information online.
