Matthew made his first communion yesterday. :) It was a gorgeous day and everything turned out nicely. I have some pictures from church but that's it. They hired a photographer and I paid for the three pictures he was taking because between Matthew & I we wanted them all. We went back to Mom's for dinner. I made italian subs, a bunch of cold salads, cupcakes and brownies. Everyone that told me they were coming did. Mom's cousin Cheryl was funny. She said when she got the invitation her first thought was "Oh I cant wait to see what Angela's making!" lol So funny. Matthew was funny too. He received some cards and all had cash inside which he was not expecting at all. He opened them as they were given to him. After the first two he runs to me with them and says he has $40. I took it, set it aside then went back to making stuff. He comes to me with more money and says he has $60. When I got outside he runs over and announces he has $125. I told him he needed to stop with the announcements because it was rude. Mom's cousin Betty also gave him a St. Matthew medal which is what I wanted to give him but never got to the store to look for so I was very happy she did. He had a meeting at church tonight to wrap it all up and reflect on the experience. Bryan said the first thing the kids talked about was how much money they all received. lol

I went to Book Club. It was a very small turnout. 8 people maybe. The counselor sent the latchkey lady home (she stays late and watches our kids for us) because there were so few kids. She came to make sure we werent sending her away because we didnt trust her. lol The first hour was spent gossiping and one of the boys that was there walked over and asked if this was book club of gossip club. lol There was talk about setting something up over the summer. Not every week like now and having some days that are adults only. The issues with the kids down the street was brought up tonight and nobody had any advice other than we need to move. LOL One mom that is fixing a house up to sell said I need to get my husband on board and move. The one sitting next to her said it's all about choices and to tell him he can get on board or stay put but I'm moving. lol

Speaking of moving, Aimee is in the process of moving. They've put an offer in on a house and it turns out they need $8,000 in closing costs! There is a law (from what she tells me) that states closing costs cannot exceed 5% of the loan but people are getting around that by not including taxes and other fees in the closing costs. (?) She's been looking at programs to help with closing costs and came across one today that she called about. She said if you meet the income requirements and the house you are purchasing is empty and intended to be your permanent residence they will pay 100% of closing costs, repair anything that needs to be, install energy saving appliances. I forget what else but she said you only have to pay it back if you sell the house within 15 years. After that or if you dont move you owe nothing. She's supposed to send me the information.

I made an appointment with a different ENT today. :/ Several people I know go to the same doctor/office and have good things to say. The appointment isnt until the end of June. I have to take him to his family doctor to get a referral. I hate this. . .

The kids are learning Mandarin in school. It's pretty interesting. I sat in on Michael's last two classes. The teacher is really nice. One of the boys in Michael's class told her she looked like she was carrying a baby. :o She didnt hear him and asked me what he said. I told her nothing. Hope I didnt offend her but I was NOT about to repeat that! The kids love it but I dont think I could ever learn it. I'm already confused by the 4 different tones and all the characters. lol

Michael was so funny this morning. Bryan woke him up and he yelled "It's not morning, I didnt get enough sleep yet!"

Tony & Katherine are taking the boys for 2 nights over the weekend. Katherine wants to take Jacob for one night. I told her he still nurses at night. She said he'll be fine. It's not that that I'm worried about since he does sleep through the night on occassion, it's where he's going to sleep. They dont have a crib and I'm find with him sleeping in MY bed with ME but not in a bed with other people.

I started the poster for Michael's teacher this morning. I got all but 6 kids' handprints down. Tomorrow morning I'll get them then paint stems and write the quote in the center. It's not exactly how I envisioned it but it will be cute. I decided to take a picture of each child. I'm going to cut out the pictures, glue them to the center of each flower then write their names underneath.
