Alive and Kicking

Hey y'all:
So here's the deal. I had an awesome time in Mexico. However, as soon as our plane touched down in Canada, I was given the news that an uncle of mine finally lost his fight with cancer. So basically since I last posted I've been to Mexico, White Water Rafting on the Ottawa River, a funeral, a baptism and a wedding.

Then I went back to work and I was told the deadline for this gargantuan project I've been working on for the past two months had been moved up. So instead of having until the beginning of October to, you know, make sure my workplace was in compliance with all the rules and regulations we need to keep our jobs, I have until Wednesday. Of this week. Talk about a shot in the badonkadonk.

Plus I have a huge-ass cold that literally kicked me in the head this week. Hell yeah, why not add a Super-Sized Upper Respiratory infection to my McNasty Meal?

I am so glad I had the forethought and wisdom to bring home not just a bottle of Tequila, but some Mayan liqueur called Xtabentun that is much easier to pronounce after a few shots. Maybe its medicinal properties will help me get the next Dance Chapter out to you guys by... maybe... next week? Just want you to know you're not being ignored.

I will leave you now with one of my favourite pictures from Mexico. Just picturing myself on one of those beach chairs helps me clear my sinuses. Hasta la vista, and thank you all so much for speaking up and leaving comments for the last chapter. My readers are so made of awesome.  xx Auntie Em
