Did you experience any common "warning signs" before it set on?  Yes.  My face goes into an incredible amount of throbbish-stabby pain on the right side from the side of my eye down to my jaw, then I have to pop back to the doctor and say "It's back."

I've been a pretty crummy maintainer of this community. I started it as a place to open up to other people about Bell's palsy, but I'm not so good at opening up, and sometimes reading other peoples' stories makes me sadder about my own troubles. I got bells palsy when I was 7 (when a coldsore showed up on my face...) It went away when I was 9...came back at 14.... and went away again (tho it wasnt REALLY gone, my face was still a bit lopsided) and now i have a new cold sore on my face) and my face is swollen... ;-; (sorry guys I'm trying desperately not to be emo here, but I felt like I ( Read more... )
