Hi, everyone--
Thanks for all of your help, advice, and support after my last post.
I've had Bell's Palsy for 15 days now, and I've noticed so much improvement over the past week. I am able to talk without feeling like I can't enunciate (unless I talk for long periods of time, like on the phone), eating is much easier, and I'm even able to drink from a straw again!
Today when I looked in the mirror I realized that I could almost-sort-of-half-smile again! It's not a full smile, for sure, but it's not nearly as lopsided as it was, and if I smile just a little bit it almost looks even on each side!
In addition, if I blink really quickly, only my left eye closes, but if I think about it and do it slowly, my eyelids move at nearly the same rate, and the lid on the BP side seems to close 99% of the way! I think I might be nearly ready for my contacts again!
I'm really anxious to be completely done with this, and I'm so excited that my recovery seems to be coming rather quickly and painlessly.
So my question is this, for those of you that have recovered--once you started noticing things like this, how long was it until you recovered completely?
Thanks again,
Amber
