Characters: Luigi, Dimentio, Peasley and (eventually) ROB
What: Luigi gives in to finish the fight they started in the café awhile ago, BUT HOW WILL IT GO?? God, the anticipation.
Where: Some large clearing in the forest near the school.
When: Tuesday, July 8th, nighttime (past curfew XO those naughty chilluns)
Rating: Uhmmm PG-13 I would assume, most for the violence, but prolly some swearing might break out.
((EDIT: Ack, sorry Tikara, I didn't realise you wouldn't be on till later. D: Just jump in with ROB however you want, I'm sure we'll still be going.))
Luigi had barely gotten any rest the night before. He had vaguely been hoping over the past week that Dimentio would have cooled off about their fight, especially after sparring with Paula and winning, but Luigi should have known better. Probably didn't help Luigi would passively aggressively confront him every once in awhile--but what else could he do when that clown jerk was attacking his friends, like Daisy? But it unfortunately made it hard to stay out of Dimentio's radar when Luigi would do that.
He laid in bed the night before, dozing off every now and then but then waking up with a panicked start, worrying about what could happen to him. Would it be an all out brawl, no rules, deal as much pain as possible? He also kept wishing he hadn't asked Peasley along for those very reasons. He wanted him there for the support of his friend, but if things got a bit out of hand he knew Peasley wouldn't hesitate in leaping into the meelee and that was the last thing Luigi wanted as well.
He even thought about telling his brother, but decided not to burden him with his foolishness.
So as a result, he didn't sleep, still went to classes but didn't pay much attention, and couldn't eat for fear of it coming back up with a particularly hard bout of anxiety. Now, here he was, stalking through the gardens with Peasley where just some nights before they had been strolling leisurely hand in hand, but now were trying to rush through them as quickly as possible without being detected by Resetti or any other figures of authority. (And yet he still had the urge to reach out and grab the prince's hand as they went.)
His hand went up to his hat for possibly the 50th time, making sure the Smash Ball Peasley had (stupidly) stolen for him was still there, despite the fact he could feel it against his head as he moved. It was an odd and inconvenient place for the ball, but it was the only good place he could think to hide it where it would have the least chance of breaking while he fought. He didn't want to have to use it lest he felt like he had to, if he felt like Dimentio was going too far--or if Luigi suddenly felt the utter need to win.
They stopped at the edge of the gardens, staring out over the expanse of open field they'd have to dash through before reaching the forest--then the clearing they had planned to meet at was about a half mile or so in. They were in for bit of a long walk through an impressive forest, but it was the only place Luigi could think of to meet safely.
He swallowed hard, nervous, and glanced over at Peasley for support.
