Magic class #2!

Jul 08, 2008 09:00

Welcome to my second class, brats. Now, I know some of you wanted to have a class outside and a chance to destroy stuff, but I'm sorry to say, it'll have to wait. Next class, I promise! Today, though, we'll be... wait, let's see here. *flips through the first couple pages of the teacher's textbook* A basic introduction to magic is in order. Shouldn't I have gone over this in the first lesson...? Guess I was too busy compiling a list of you kids' weaknesses! ...erooops! You didn't hear that, okay?

Yeah, so. Magic, can also be called sorcery, witchcraft, and some other names no one really uses! So who cares! What is magic, anyway? The answer will differ from person to person, if you ask them. It can't be answered so simply, however. Really... it's a mystery! But over our lessons you'll just see for yourselves and come up with your own answers... I guess. And y'know, personally I think saying you know magic on a resume would be an auto-hire! It's just that cool!

Let's start out with the main types of magic.

There's the Offensive type. This can range from small, worthless sparks of energy, to elemental attacks (fire is REALLY popular!), to a mass of dark magical power great enough to end the world! Obviously has not been used yet!

Then there's the Defensive type. Eeh, not my specialty, but I guess it comes in handy. This primarily consists of different types of shields powered by your powers!

There's Healing magic too! From wounds, to removing toxin from the body, and curing those other nasty status effects, this type is really useful! Usually healers lack a lot of good offensive abilities, so if that isn't for you, healing magic could be your thing!

And then there's the Other section! Tons of stuff here! This category includes, but is not limited to: Inflicting those status effects mentioned before, enhancing ones own abilities or others' (like turning small monsters into large ones to wreck havoc! AND KILL YOSHIS), summoning creatures/objects/people, teleporting, and transforming. That's a fun one! Turning your enemy into a little frog miiiight get you in trouble here, but it's worth it! Hee hee hee!

That's the very basic outline. Don't get me started on energy usage for this stuff, that's a whole other class! And all of the points I've mentioned here today will be elaborated on in different classes as well. In that next class outside? We'll be covering offensive magic! Get those notes taken, and, uh. I dunno, discuss it and stuff, ask questions!

Oh, and don't forget to show me the notes you take today. I'll return them after recording a grade on how well they're taken. Any doodles I find on the paper will deduct points, heheh, so erase them well before turning it in~

((UM. Since a lot of students are advanced-level and few are basic-level let's just say both classes are combined now, and the basic students just take more notes/quizzes when they can't use any magic. 8| It'd be weird having two classes of basically the same thing anyway. But the advanced/basic status is still there. 8D))
