What: THE FIRST NIGHT OF BLIND DATES! Who: Anyone who was sent a note with an A# table number. Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND! When: August 19th. Around 6-ish. Warnings: Good question... We'll see?
Re: [TABLE A1]hasmorepokemonAugust 19 2009, 17:54:22 UTC
((So, you might say, the place is bigger on the inside?))
Green arrived shortly before the given time. He did not go inside though. He tried to peer in through a window, from across the street, to see if he could make out who was there.
A bunch of other people from school, great. He couldn't see the table numbers from here, so he just stood there, unsure of how to proceed.

Peach was, of course, the first person there. She'd spent a good 30 minutes making sure everything looked perfect, wondering if her outfit was appropriate and watching students and teachers to trickle in.
Seated at the first table, Peach kept her arms and legs crossed and a small smile on her face as she waited for her date. The princess was, well, excited. While the spot of "boyfriend" was currently reserved for someone else, she thought it might be fun to participate in her own event anyway.
Re: [TABLE A1]hasmorepokemonAugust 20 2009, 04:32:29 UTC
Alright, fine. No one else seemed to be coming, and the place was pretty full now.
Green walked in with a sigh, and glanced around quickly. A1, A1, A1... There, a table with just a girl. A girl in pink. Looked familiar, but then, they do go to the same school. He quickly moved to the table, not daring to look around and see who might recognize him.
"Green Oak." He said as he approached. After he sat, he offered his hand over the table to shake.

Well, if she had to do this, she was going to do it right.
Sitting down at the table, she smoothed out her yellow dress. A bit of makeup was all she could stand put on, just to accentuate what was already there. Well, just got to sit back and get this over with.
Re: [TABLE A2]swordofkingsAugust 19 2009, 19:42:37 UTC
And who should arrive at table A2 looking rather snazzy in a classical, casual Chinese style attire?
He looked perfectly calm and confident but Prince Poo still had mixed feelings about this. It only served to remind him of Dalaam's insistent traditions of arranged marriages or at least social networking with other royalty/building foreign relations with other kingdoms and the other responsibilities that came with being a Prince. Not that he would disagree to any of that, as he didn't want to let his masters down, which is precisely why he after a small bit of reluctance signed himself up and was currently here. And he was going to be as every bit well-mannered and disciplined about this date as anything else he ever did.
Re: [TABLE A2]sportsflowerAugust 20 2009, 01:35:44 UTC
Well, it could have been worse. A LOT worse. Might as well show some manners, now that she knew it wasn't gonna be Bowser, or Junior, or someone even worse.
"Prince Poo, right? I don't think we've been formally introduced before," she greeted.
Re: [TABLE A3]orange_leaderAugust 19 2009, 20:09:22 UTC
She didn't really know what she was doing here. She certainly hadn't signed herself up for this. She was really only coming so that she wouldn't disappoint her 'date'. She had no interest in being told to go on a date with some stranger.
So the look on Rachel's face as she walked up to the table and took a seat was less-than-thrilled. I'm sorry, Fang, but there will be no charming the pants off of this lady friend. "So, you're th guy I'm supposed to be meeting with?"
Re: [TABLE A4]umbreon_blackyAugust 20 2009, 04:51:01 UTC
HELLO MY NAME IS BLACKY AND I CAN BEND THE LAWS OF SPACE AND TIME TO BE IN PARALLEL DIMENSIONS
Blacky wanted to be here, though. She enjoyed the prospect of getting to know people a little better. Provide herself with some sort of entertainment, that sort of thing.
Her enthusiasm dimmed a bit when she arrived at the restaurant and found that her date was less than handsome. Then again, it was Flurrie's man. That... kind of... almost made it all worth it. Flurrie would have her head. O ho ho.
"My, my. I wasn't expecting seeing you here, Doctor."

Even if he SIGNED UP HIMSELF, he still felt uncomfortable. Hopefully the date would turn out alright. In the meantime, he sit and twiddled his thumbs nervously.

Jeff walked into the restaurant and started towards the assigned table. Then stopped. And stared.
Those glasses. Those braces. That horribly tacky outfit. True, Jeff didn't actually know Larry all that well. But he had noticed the other boy in the hallways a few times. More or less, he pretty much ignored the other's journal. In the blonde's opinion, Larry was as dorky as they came.
Resisting the urge to sigh, he sat down at the table. Might as well pretend to be civil. "Hello..."
Re: [TABLE A5]derpidoriaAugust 20 2009, 19:51:47 UTC
((Tacky? He's wearing pretty normal clothes right now.))
Why was this guy sitting at his table? Why was THIS GUY sitting at his table?! There had to be a mistake.
"Uhhhhhh, um excuse me sir." Larry nervously tried to get his point across. "I think you might have the wrong table, derp. I'm sitting here and I'm really sure it's supposed to be A5." Could the 'NO GUYS PLEASE' part have been any less clear? Was this a prank?

He looked visibly uncomfortable sitting there, grumbling to himself.

"Nor was I expecting you, Miss Burakki," he replied. He didn't appear nearly as jovial as she was.

This was going to be an awkward night.
