Well, if she had to do this, she was going to do it right.
Sitting down at the table, she smoothed out her yellow dress. A bit of makeup was all she could stand put on, just to accentuate what was already there. Well, just got to sit back and get this over with.

And who should arrive at table A2 looking rather snazzy in a classical, casual Chinese style attire?
He looked perfectly calm and confident but Prince Poo still had mixed feelings about this. It only served to remind him of Dalaam's insistent traditions of arranged marriages or at least social networking with other royalty/building foreign relations with other kingdoms and the other responsibilities that came with being a Prince. Not that he would disagree to any of that, as he didn't want to let his masters down, which is precisely why he after a small bit of reluctance signed himself up and was currently here. And he was going to be as every bit well-mannered and disciplined about this date as anything else he ever did.

Well, it could have been worse. A LOT worse. Might as well show some manners, now that she knew it wasn't gonna be Bowser, or Junior, or someone even worse.
"Prince Poo, right? I don't think we've been formally introduced before," she greeted.
Re: [TABLE A2]swordofkingsAugust 20 2009, 02:12:44 UTC
It could have been a lot worse. Poo took a small, habitual bow and then his seat at the table. "I think that should change."
After a peek at the menu he realized ...it all looked to be Italian. Hm. He would have to endure with just water tonight.
"Everyone seems very excited about the ball your family is hosting." Poo idly wondered how far away Sarasaland was. Or if it was anything like Scaraba.
Re: [TABLE A2]sportsflowerAugust 20 2009, 02:58:02 UTC
"I'm not, really," she told him. "I never really enjoyed the big royal functions too much. But they're important to my father, so I'm willing to endure it for him. Plus, this time so many people are coming. I didn't think so many people would be interested. Do you have to do a lot of this kind of thing where you come from?"
Re: [TABLE A2]swordofkingsAugust 20 2009, 04:23:07 UTC
"Ah." Poo understood well what it meant for royal functions to be important.
"Yes. My masters in Dalaam often focus on strengthening foreign relations among other things, so I always must be a good representative of my kingdom."
Re: [TABLE A2]swordofkingsAugust 22 2009, 00:39:04 UTC
"It can be... stressful, yes." He agreed. Poo took one look at the menu and then put it back down, polietly folding his hands together on the table. He already knew what he wanted to order.
Oh, how to describe the home he was so proud of? "Dalaam is very beautiful, a kingdom in the clouds. The focal point is our temple which has elaborate Elephant sculptures. There is also a cave in the south which leads to the Pink Cloud but it could be considered a dangerous path only the adventurous dare follow."
"You should come visit sometime, I would be most honored."

As the menus arrived, she said, "What's Dalaam like?"

"I'd love to!" she agreed. "And one day you should come to Sarasaland. Well, if you're going to the ball then I guess you will..."

Poo nodded to the invitation, "I shall." Not to repeat himself but Poo was quite honored to be invited.
Not to change the conversation topic but, "What are you going to order?"

"No." He debated on elaborating. "I'll be fine."

"You sure?" she asked again. "Some of this looks pretty good."
