Louie had heard that kind of sigh before back when the two of them had journeyed together, surely, so that definitely was familiar. He just hated hearing it and seeing his sensei like this.

"I still have quite a bit of water to last... I'm not sure how long it will last, but... it's something," He frowned a little, glancing about in hopes that the girls would be alright. Louie wished he could still fight but the bag on his back made things all too difficult.

Olimar nodded slowly, "We can make it last." Lucky for Louie, who while being able to throw a punch, it has been made a priority to keep the young man safe from harm. His birthday was coming up in April right? It was a given Louie was looked upon as practically a child, something Olimar admits is not fair considering he is well beyond 18 and coming close to 21. Maybe it was just the student's shy, awkward and seemingly helpless demeanor.

"Something wrong Louie?" He followed his eye contact.

Louie displayed some genuine worry on his face, really not wanting to talk on the one hand because of the fear of furthered Olimar's distress... but on the other hand...

"... I wish we can find them soon," He sighed a little, scratching his head a little awkwardly.

Olimar only smiled, it seemed easy to seem more upbeat than he really felt and especially around Louie.

"We'll find them. I know it, I got a signal from Aviana and I think the others aren't too far off."

Aviana, on the other hand, was having a blast with her flamethrower. She personally would've liked to go against the monsters with her bare fists (or at least with a wooden sword), but with all these enemies around, flamethrower was the better option.

"WOooo!! Yeah!!" Aviana gave out a hoot as the flames spread out in the area.

The fun ended after a minute, though; she had been using the flamethrower all the time quite frequently since the war started, and she hadn't kept track of the fuel that was left. The flames went out with a poof of smoke, and the red pikloli-haired girl blinked a few times

Just how hard could it be to find her sisters? It had been days since all the piklolis had scattered, and Ionia still had yet to track down any of them. Not only that, but she was on her own after a wayward Koopa shell had damaged one of F-Zero's legs. Leaf pikmin are not noted for their speed, and having woefully short legs didn't help much, either. It was slow going, needless to say, even without Aparoids constantly getting in the way.

Still, if she kept on looking, she was bound to find one of her sisters soon enough, right?

Right. As if on cue, she heard a very familiar warcry. It could only have been aniki! Ionia dashed off in the general direction the shout had come from, scrabbling over car-sized chunks of rubble until she was greeted with the welcome sight of Aviana battling against enemies. "Hang on, aniki! Ionia is coming!!" She shouted, charging with all the unbridled fury of an unarmed midget.

It was almost like some higher power had planned for both Hocotatians and the Pikmin girls to eventually find themselves in the same area of the city at the same time. As such, Petunia wasn't terribly far from where Olimar and Louie were. She was still lost, of course, having once again managed to slip away from those she was with before. This time it had been on purpose. She didn't really want to talk to anybody right now.

She remembered looking out at the city through the grimy windows of a taxi once, marveling at how big and strangely beautiful it was. Concrete art. It wasn't anything like that anymore. Just crumbling ruins and corpses everywhere. She wanted to cry, but couldn't find the energy right now.

She turned the corner, and found Olimar instead. Should she run again? She didn't know what to do anymore. She stood there quietly, staring miserably at the two.

Olimar didn't react as quickly as Louie did, fearful she would run off again. Instead... she just continued to stare at the two of them. Those eyes... Instead of calling out to her the older man made it a priority to get closer to Petunia.

"...Petunia?" He managed to smile, though it almost looked like he was about to cry. Instead, he brought her into his arms. "Thank god you're alive! I'm sorry it took so long to find you!..." He didn't want to let go, this was surely the first step to find all of them safely and taking them all back to the school.

Oh. They saw her after all. She didn't know if she cared or not. She was happy that they were alive and well, of course, but she couldn't bring herself to return the hug.

"Leader..." She was still as softspoken as ever, but there was something in her voice... not quite anger, not sadness, but it definitely lost its normally loving tone. "Why did you lie?"

Olimar pulled away, "Lie? What are you talking about?" Something didn't seem right with her, what could he possibly had lied to her about?
