Intel's Conroe line of dual-core CPUs was finally unveiled a couple days ago.  The upper-midrange chip, the Core 2 Duo E6600, outperforms AMD's Athlon FX-62 for $316.  Did I mention that the FX-62 costs $1045+, and even after the huge price cuts AMD has planned will still run approximately $800?  What the shit?  AMD is however cutting the price ( Read more... )
