First World problem like no other: I've worked out how to make and store Rijntje's baby food (blitz, freeze in an ice cube tray, transfer to freezer containers). For soft stuff like scrambled eggs and oatmeal, I'll just make that as we decide to eat them, but the blender doesn't work so well with small quantities, so that means for his veggie purees and fruit mashes, making them up in bulk and freezing them.
The problem is that we have NO SPACE in our freezer. It's being taken up by gourmet bacon, several lobsters (bought on the cheap after Christmas), and jars of chili, soups, and pastas that I've made in case I don't feel like cooking.
I've got a few weeks before Rijntje is old enough to make solids a habit. Right now, I'm just giving him little tastes of things as I cook (he's amazed by bananas, not impressed by string beans). But yeah, we're going to have to do a lot of eating between now and then....
