Over 8 floors and my dorms are located in the sublevels. It's cool. Barely sufficient, but it's currently summer here. I would presume there are heating charms, but this entire place seems to be run on technology typical of a few hundred years ago in Europe. They might actually think lighting the fireplaces and putting an charm on them will suffice. I don't get why they implemented moving staircases when students already have to traverse several floors to and fro locations throughout the day. It seems pretty stupid, even if it forces people to watch where they're going and have them take detours to defuse their focus.
It would be good if I bring warmer clothes and find some warming charms. Dylan's going to get the worst of it if it becomes notably colder than this. He'll bite me if I tell him to go home, though. He'll have to either stay with me the entire time, someplace warm, or I can go with the warming charm. Mm, that seems best. Note to self: locate and learn some warming charms.
Did not meet my "Head of House." I'm not sure if I'll like him. Met House ghost. Father might have an aneurysm at all the souls lingering here. Although I feel spiritual exoricism wouldn't be appreciated.
Need to get my schedule. Will have to ask someone how.
