We had our lives rearranged

I successfully directed a week-long UU camp for grade schoolers! It went fairly smoothly, actually. I used a pre-written curriculum, "Chalice Camp," but re-wrote a lot of it for our purposes, like brining in some PWC spirit and Shelter Neck flavor. All in all it was quite a good time...not sure I want to do it again, next year, but, we'll see.

This past weekend was my family's inaugural reunion at our brand new beach house on Carolina Beach (we haven't named the house yet, but hopefully that will happen soon). It felt so great to have our entire family together again after a couple years of seeing only fractions of our family at different times. I also got to spend time with my uncles, aunt, and nana. And Emily is back home from Korea/Morocco/India/etc., and living with my parents in Durham, so I'm super excited to get to see her all the time now.

Three more weeks of summer camp left...I'm wearing a bit thin, though I hate to admit it. The long weeks are a bit softened by the fact that some weeks (like this one) I get to split my time between camp counseling and office work. As much as I complain, though, the truth is I absolutely love my time at PWC. I've learned so much this past summer, as I do every season, and I can't wait to a) teach my new knowledge to others and b) keep learning more!

I've started keeping a Wordpress.com blog. I'm not ready to publicize it, or I might not at all. It's kind of nice writing in secret. Not that I write anything bad, or mean, at all...it's just that there is less pressure when I know it's invisible. My writing is loads better at that blog than this one, actually.

Even though this is already a popular and well-known song (so I can't get street cred for loving it), I can't help being crazy about the song "Beggin'" by Madcon. It is just SO good, I can't help it. Mannnnnn.

I'm trying to plan a trip to Washington DC, Philly, and NYC, hopefully in mid or late October. Can't wait! :)
