Broken work, fat family and headcake.
Anthony Mundine and Danny Green broke my work today. It was quite annoying.
Apparently a lot frickin' shitload of people were ringing up to book the fight on Foxtel Pay-Per-View and the system couldn't sustain the demand and got all shakey. It made my job so much harder because I could only do simple stuff. Grr.

Planes, drains and automobiles.
*sigh* Just back from wasting another two and a half hours of my time at JST. We were talked at about what internet sites to look at for almost an hour, then let loose on the PCs (where I checked my email) to job search and do other job-related activities (like checking my email). So, I've just wasted two and a half hours of my life that I'll never get back. Whee. Job Search Training (JST) is a waste of time, energy and resources. However, I am determined to get something out of this. So far it's probably going to be some direction, motivation and confidence. I'm sure there's a lot I could say, but I'm tired and have the major couldn't-bes so I won't, suffice to say that I had a great time in Sydney last weekend. mike_zero's extended family are all completely lovely, and his Mum was so totally surprised by the limousine Mike arranged to take her and her husband to their 50th wedding anniversary party. Stressed.
We found out today that we got knocked back on the Forest Hill house, which sucks immensely. Today's really been the day for shitty news. mike_zero scheduled a Man Trip with a co-worker and some clients on April 1st, and because of that I've arranged to get my wisdom tooth out on March 30th so that he wouldn't have to endure my whinging and sooking about my ( Read more... ) -
Teeth, Subway and Bogs...not in that order and including some other stuff.
I've had a great weekend. My Thursday night was wonderful. (I think it was Thursday...) Anyway, whenever it was, mike_zero and I snuggled on the couch for ages, and it was just so brillant. I was warm and comfortable and safe, and I felt so happy and good and *grin*. It felt like I hadn't seen Mike for ages, so it was completely awesome ( Read more... ) -
A nice evening, and a tangential path....
I had a really nice evening. We had fish and chips for dinner, then I spent twenty minutes swimming vigourously, and after a shower, mike_zero and I went over to battle_maiden's house where we played Happy Families - the card game, not the reality - and Balderdash. I had a lovely time.
Tomorrow, liz_melb is going to come over and cut my hair. I am wanting a bit of a change, ( Read more... ) -
A lazy update...
Okay, this is gonna be a half-arsed dot-point effort, sorry.
- Spicks and Specks was absolutely brilliant. I've never laughed so much this year! My cheeks ached, and I think I peed a little, it was just so good!
- I'm starting three weeks of temp work tomorrow: it's just helping uni kids fill in forms, but it pays really well and it's only four ( Read more... )
