first this journey's been/is being about the people, not the places.
second: how wonderful the people have been/are. first germany, and hamburg, lubeck, brought alive and close to me, and still in my heart (and pockets) thanks to poetic_self (and books, and sails, and poems, and my lovely new jumper perfect, perfect); then france, st. antonin noble-val, made immediate and fresh with my godson's wedding; and now london, this terminal in the Generator Hostel (thanks! jackandahat) from which i've ventured forth to buckingham palace, victoria station, into the monsoon (stories about that to come, but honey! it rained!) then to liecester square, st. martin's lane, and The Duke of York's Theatre (where Peter Pan opened, yeah?) and In Celebration (which i must now read, it was that moving and interesting and insightful, and i fromthe 60's but not in sheffield, nor a mining family) and Orlando splendid and my guide for the event lovely, generous, and insightful herself (yes, you, xchasingtailsx as well as patient the next day with life's little mishaps. (I hope you got home ok love with the continuing rains not an obstacle to your journey.)
And days and nights with my pferde; quiet and calm and sweet and true. The london eye and the tube and bookshops and cafes and just time, time.
next time (because i've done it once, so now it can be done again and again) might be about places; i#ve lt go the museums, galleries, shops in london ~(except for a shoe shop where i bought havaiana flip-flops i'd not been able to buy in venice beach in june [yes, paulabm more! xoxoxo honey, te amo mucho]) in honor of the people- so i've promised to come back for them, the tqte, the british, the national portrait gallery, ... too many to name.
thank you to so many, many people: rinnuninnu for broadening my world, and helping me learn to think outside my american/california box; kitty_van_kat for patience and encouragement and honesty and love [xxooxoxoxox]; and many too many others to list tright now (paid time is a bit forbidding- can't go on and on as i'd like to, lol).
