HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY,
DARLA!
I hope you got plenty of cake, ice cream, and presents all around! Any belated birthday wishes? If so, please post here ;)!
I should have stayed home today --;. Even though I was feeling pretty good Saturday after I got antibiotics for my sinus infection, I didn't feel too hot Sunday, and today, my head and sinuses are in pain. I felt so bad that I had to make a quick run to Walgreens to buy some Aleve to kill the pain a bit. I feel less woozy now, but I don't think I should have driven to work.
When I was feeling good Saturday, I went to Cafe Latté to eat after picking up some more shea butter hand lotion at the Garden of Eden. I made the mistake of buying a more watered down shea butter hand lotion at Anthropologie because I wanted to get a shea butter hand lotion that my Mom would like as well that didn't smell too strongly for her. Mom liked the smell of the watered down version, but she didn't like it enough to use it daily. She ended up buying some body butter from Bath and Body Shop which I can't use because it hurts my hands too much ;(. My hands are too dry and chapped for most lotions.
Anyway, while I was eating a salad sampler, soup, and cupcake, I sat next to a guy who was eating a personal size pizza. Next to him were 2 girls who were just finishing up their meal with a large generous slice of chocolate cake which Cafe Latté is famous for. The 2 girls ended up only taking 3-4 bites of the cake, leaving most of it behind when they left. It was such a waste, but it wasn't any of my business. Just before a busboy cleaned their table, the guy eating the pizza next to me TAKES the rest of the uneaten cake for himself to eat o~O! This is the first time I've ever seen someone scavenge a stranger's leftovers to eat for himself! EWWWWWWW X(! He ate their ENTIRE leftover cake slice! After that, I kept feeling as if his eyes were peering at my table to see if I would be leaving any leftovers too! Any time I do have leftovers, I take them home ;b! I remember seeing a couple at 20.21 at the Walker Arts Center leave almost an entire plate of pureéd potatoes that was served to them in a mutual dish served at their table that I was tempted to scavenge myself, but I thought that would be inappropriate considering the setting. I know Cafe Latté's desserts are to die for, but this is a bit too much X(!
I'm still on a quest to find the perfect shampoo for my psoriasis riddled scalp, and here's what I've discovered so far:
- Any regular shampoo like good old Pantene - worthless now --;
- Selsun Blue with selenieum sulfide - no longer effective
- Neutrogena T-Sal with 3% salicylic acid - somewhat effective but causes more flakes than not using it
- Neutrogena T-Gel with coal tar - very effective but makes my scalp break out in pimples O~O!
- Kiehl's herbal shampoo and scalp dandruff treatment with pyrithione zinc and eucalyptus extract - somewhat effective but only on days when my scalp is not irritated to the point of flake explosion
- Tea tree oil shampoo - not effective whatsoever --;
- Some scalp shampoo I found recommended by someone at Sephora which I got a sample to try - not effective whatsoever --;
- Antibacterial DISHWASHER Palmolive soap - very VERY bad idea that made my entire scalp starch up O~O!
- Lush's Rehab shampoo - not effective whatsoever --;
- Lush's Soak-and-Float shampoo bar that smells like campfire ashes - so far, after 2 weeks use, I think it's actually controlling the itching and flaking despite the BLECH smell
I'm surprised the campfire-ash-smelling Lush shampoo soap bar actually works to some extent, at least I think it is =/! Although it smells like BLECH, I'm not itching or flaking as much anymore even though I still have to use my prescribed topical steroid daily to once every 2 days. If I can get through the entire bar well, this might be the winner! Not only does it have to work on the first 1-2 tries, but it also has to work throughout the entire supply I get ;b! Wish me luck!
