Last of the Disney Meme
To keep me from working on a problem I should really try to resolve <3
Day 028. Your favourite quote: "My, what beautiful blossoms we have this year. But look, this one's late. But I'll bet that when it blooms, it will be the most beautiful of all."
Guys, I have so many quotes that I just adore. First off, there's the funny ones. Then there's the fact that I can recite most of the Renaissance films from memory. Then there's always that one quote in every movie that just encompasses what that film is about and just gets you every time. At this moment in time, this is my favourite quote. But who knows about this time tomorrow.
Day 029. Your favourite live action film: Enchanted
Okay, so I love POTC, but I just don't think of those films as Disney films in the same way I do as Enchanted. Now don't get me wrong, the Pirates series has had a huge influence on me creatively in the last few years. However, Enchanted is what this meme is about, really. It's about the spirit of the films I grew up with: ridiculing it, pointing out it's follies and the realities, but overall being rather affectionate about it. And of course I love all the shout outs. ALSO, I WANT GISELLE'S BLUE DRESS LIKE MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.
Day 030. Your favourite game: Kingdom Hearts II
I loved the first one. Then the second completely passed all my expectations. I totally adore the opening and closing FMVs, and while I've always loved 「光」, Utada totally out-did herself with "Passion" (Hikaru I love you forever <3). You can really feel the series come into it's own in this game. Everything's just a bit tighter and more cohesive all round. I highly anticipated this game, and poured over the teaser video at the end of the first game. It came out in Japan while I was over there and it was SO HARD knowing I'd have to wait another seven months to play it D: Also the ending UGH, MY HEART. It didn't help I knew the Japanese equivalents of what they were saying and the cultural significance of the phrases and DAMN.
