Last night I went to see Carbon Leaf at Stubb's in Austin and it was amazing. Their performance was impeccable, their stage presence (especially the lead singer's) was awesome, in every since of the word, and it was sublime. They mostly played songs from their two newest albums, a couple covers, and then a couple older songs. Oh man, I'm still in awe. Ashley, you would have loved it and the next time they come to Texas we are going. Period.

I dragged team503 along with me and I think he was surprised he liked it so much. Plus it's always good not to be alone at concerts, that's always a little bit of a drag. After the concert I took him home and I ended up hanging out with him and a couple of friends of his until about 5:00 this morning. We weren't even really doing anything, though I did help cook a late-night snack/early morning breakfast. Eggs with bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions cooked in bacon grease makes for an excellent, if unhealthy, meal. I helped out by chopping the vegetables, and managed to cut myself with the knife a couple times. I kept confusing the sharp end with the blunt end and since I was steadying the knife with my finger, I got a couple of flesh wounds. Nothing bloody, but my finger's still sore. I honestly worry about my attention to detail sometimes.

Today I have a couple errands to run. I need to buy mailing envelopes (I got my mom a t-shirt from the concert and I want to send it to the new house), among other things, and get my pictures developed. I managed to forget my camera in my room last night and didn't realize it until I was in Austin, so I bought a disposable one and used that. I'm actually kind of anxious to see how they turned out because I think a couple might be really good, as long as they don't have people's heads in them. I also need to go to the library and print out and copy some articles for two of my classes. And then homework's all that's left. My day should be pleasantly busy with plenty of time to relax.
