I have so much to do before I get on that plane on Saturday. I have to pack up all my possessions, and all of Ian's possessions into boxes, which will be getting picked up SOMETIME tomorrow. You would not believe how much stuff two people can accumulate after four years (for me) and two years (for Ian) at University in a foreign country! We have over 160 films between us, including four seasons of Buffy. How sad are we? I guess most of our stuff is clothes, movies and books. Ian is taking a nap now, since he got up early to take Kate to the airport, but he will be up and around to help me in a while.
Tomorrow, I should go close my bank account, since it is Bank of Scotland, and I'm not going to count on there being one of those near where we live in Sheffield next year. Also, it will be helpful to have cash to get everything done here, and to get started with next Fall. I also have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon, since I am low on birth control pills. Halleluia to the National Health Service! What could be better than free pills? I undertand they are quite expensive in America.... Also tomorrow I have to go to the cash office and give them £80, which they are charging me for no apparent reason, but which I have to pay if I want to graduate next month.
I need to get a shower now and then start looking for my passport (now THERE'S a source of stress; I wonder where it is?). After I get my shower, I can start getting this house organised. Wish me luck! I hope I survive this....
