Oh, Pussy; Oh, Pussy Cat...
So much closer to being done my Xmas shopping! I have one small thing and then I do believe I am finished. Hooray!
I had a wonderful time on Sunday hanging out with a new pal, Jen. We went to a craft show, had some coffee/juice, then headed to an open house at Divine Clarity. We had many, many laughs! At the open house, I noticed Jen's friend had a tattoo on her wrist of 6 hearts each done in the colours of the rainbow. I admired it and she said, "Oh, they're the chakra colours. ...but, I mean, love is love!" Jen was snickering at this point and I was like, "Sure, love is love. I love rainbows." Whateves. When we got outside, Jen was like, "So, some of them might think you're my girlfriend." *LOL!* I told her she could do a lot worse.
22nd book of 2012 completed. The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Suppose to Be and Embrace Who You Are by Brene Brown.
Likelihood of me recommending this book to anyone (out of 5) - 2.5 or 3. It was a pretty decent book, but I didn't find it all that helpful. This one had a couple of references to God and I shouldn't cringe when it comes up in some self-help books. It's the author's personal opinion so that's to be expected. Yeah, not the best review for this book and I'm not entirely sure I would read it again. I don't think I really gained much from this book.
