Hodge Podge Entry...
As the weather starts turning a bit cooler, I'm so thankful that we've had a very nice summer. I was worried in spring because we had quite a bit of rain, but the summer has mostly been dry. When it has rained, it hasn't been days and days on end and, more often than not, it would only last a few hours. That has been great when it comes to scooter usage! Now, I just bundle up in the mornings (10*C or so is still a bit cool when you're driving a scooter) and the afternoons I usually don't have to be as bundled, which is nice. If I can keep using my scooter to October, I'll be quite happy.
Admittedly, I didn't get as much bike riding in this year as I did last. That's mostly been due to laziness and because we had quite a few breezy days. I need virtually no wind since my bike commute is roughly an hour each way. I'm doing some casual bike riding now just for fun and exercise. Maybe I'll do a couple of work commutes yet.
Just over 3 weeks ago, I took a spill down the stairs at work and landed on my right ankle/side of foot. I never went to the doctor because it didn't swell up. However, it still hurts every now and then when I move it certain ways. A friend of mine who's a nurse said I probably did some tendon damage so that'll take some time yet to heal.
I had some lasering done by my dentist last week which was pretty neat. I had some excess gum-scar tissue where one of my bottom wisdom teeth had been removed 7 years ago. That excess would swell up because I would end up biting on it. So she lasered it off (she didn't make laser beam noises which was disappointing) and it feels a lot better. The skin is still a bit wiggly feeling when I swallow, but maybe that'll go away in time. I think it'll be healed up in a few more days.
I keep dreaming about having long dreadlocked hair. I've been enjoying having my hair back to dark brunette with a bit of blonde.
Now that the dogs have been on their homemade food for over a month (I think?), I've noticed Mia's coat is much nicer in appearance and touch. It's not so wiry feeling anymore, softer and smoother, and she has a nice shine. Romeo's coat is pretty good, but he needs a good thorough grooming and haircut.
