Chasin' Down A Hoodoo There...
Happy "birthday", Romeo! :D 2 years ago today, we saved him from the pound. I won't rehash the story yet again, I promise. ;) We've had a crazy, whirlwind last few months with my little monsieur, but he means the world to me. <3
Yesterday morning, I headed to the farmers' market with 2 of my lovely lady friends, Heather and Amanda. Amanda also brought her 6 month old baby, Ella. Ella's a very happy baby and she was very good so I wasn't traumatized. ;) I even touched her face, if you can believe it, and we pinched each other's toes. I realized after the market that one of the vendors ripped me off. :( Oh well, what's done is done. I got purple beans, beets, triple berry jam, corn cobs, and...spinach, finally! Yay! We sipped on fresh-made lemonade (mine was lemon-lime - mmmm!) and I also got a pair of cute dangly earrings that will just have to hang through my earskins since my ears are stretched to 00 gauge.
I baby-sat my niece (7) and nephew (9) yesterday and it wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be, hahahaha. We watched some TV, ate, played some Wii/computer game, played in the pool, then stayed up late to watch Hocus Pocus. I totally fell asleep before they did. *lol* I woke up to my nephew saying, "Well, we should be going to bed now." I was like, "...yeah...good idea." Hahaha! Kids. They apparently had fun so I'm glad, plus they were really good for me so I didn't mind at all.
I wanted to go to the St. Norbert Arts Centre today for a workshop they were having on perennial food crops. It started at noon. I set the alarm for 10:30 a.m., turned it off, and rolled out of bed around 12:15, which felt great as I haven't had a long sleep in forever. Maybe I'll just e-mail their gardener for the footnotes of his presentation.
I'm re-reapplying my hair dye since my reapplication last week still wasn't good enough. *sigh* I'm leaving it on longer this time and hopefully it does the trick. I'm starting to accept that I may have to reapply every week or so unless I get a darker colour.
I can't seem to find letter stencils anywhere and it's driving me a bit nuts. I want to do this shirt modification, but I'd like the lettering to not be sloppy as I'd likely end up doing. Oh well.
I just finished baking some cookies and then I'll make some bagels. Mmmm!
