athlete reg=my dream job & my family hates me
i should just end this entry now and leave it up to the subject line since it's pretty self explanatory but i have nothing better to do so i'll describe what it's all about.
so my mom was supposed to drive me to the cdn open this morninig for like just before 10am. i get out of the shower at 8am and my sis is like hurry up you're leaving in 20 mins. ofcourse i'm like wtf is going on? why do i gotta leave so early? my mom decided to leave for work at 8am and leave my dad to drive me. yeah thanks for not telling me more than 20 mins in advance and telling me that i gotta leave an hour ealry. thanks! anyways so i show up all pissed thinking i won't be able to do anything for an hour. i go inside and there's ppl there and they're like you got move to athlete regristration. i was so stoked. i wanted to do that too. it's the perfect job for me, serioulsy. i knew who most of the riders were and some ppl putting on the event couldn't even recognize them by their face. one girl told me i was hardcore cuz i could recognize so many riders from past comps, demos, videos, ect. lol
athlete reg was cool, i did it from 9am-7pm. my shift wasn't that long but i just stook around and they didn't mind. their reg process was kinda long and confusing since some riders had preregistered and paid or didn't and needed to find team mangers who could pay for them what not. all in all it was good. i got to help register so many riders like paul machnau, gailea momlu, colt cannon, chet thomas, rune glifberg, bucky lasek, max dufor and half of the premium team, nathan lacoste, the west 49 team, chad albert, grant patterson plus tons of other rides. so yeah that was awesome. the blind team manager told me that they had paid 4 for team riders but 2 weren't comming so him and grant were gonna use their payment. i was like grant rides for blind? and he's like yeah. when grant came i set him up with the reg process and told him blind took care of his payment. he just got signed to blind 2 wks ago which is good for him cause now he's got a board sponsor. he was all like i know you and i'm like yeah from raxx. lol anyways he was really nice and told me to come to this amateur art auction tonight (which i knew of already and wanted to go to b4 he even told me to come)and some party downtown but he didn't have full details for it. after i was like i so have to go to both of them, haha. after that i went to watch the last 30 mins of the nokia rail jam, which was really good and watch other rides practice. i saw nigel a few times during the day which was cool and i watched some of the nokia rail sesh with him.
due to circumstances beyond my and sar's control she couldn't make it out to the cdn open tonight. so my dad came to pick me up and was mad that he had to. he told me to pick up my sis at work from 10:30pm and after that stay home. can you guess how pissed that made me? my parents are being stupid like driving me so early this morning, getting mad at me for having to pick me up today and for i dunno even know what. maybe cuase i went to the launch party last night and my room's a mess. i'm not sorry cuz that's what i'm supposed to do, go out and have fun, have a social life. i don't have my car today at all so i can't go out which fucking sucks (so yes i'm pissed). i can't go to the art auction or the party which sucks. so i'm stuck at home and it blows. the rest of this weekend better be good or else watch out. that's all i have to say.
