I feel like I've been hit by the lame bus and then run over by the by-the-way-screw-you train. The weeks seem to be flying by quicker and quicker, but I just seem to keep feeling more and more drained. I think part of it is my class load and I started off kind of rocky in three out of my five classes. I seriously considered dropping my Art History class this week, but then decided against it. I figured I can tough it out for a while, at least until I see how my art report is going to be graded.
I feel so bad for my mom. She's throwing a huge party for Kendall's 12th birthday this year and spent all of Saturday and Sunday night hand-making her invitations. So, she sends little precious off to school on Monday with around 35 invites. Well, today I got home and received a phone call from the school. Apparently one of the teachers/mothers tried to call the cell phone number mom put on the invite... only it's not her number. Mom got the last two numbers wrong, so some poor sap has been getting phone calls ALL DAY for a party he doesn't even know about. I called mom at work immediately and told her everything, so she ended up having to call the poor guy and explain everything to him.
I cannot wait for this election to fucking end already. I'm so sick of hearing about it, reading about it, seeing everyone's ugly face (yes, everyone) and getting into arguments with people about it. I think my problem is that I tend to judge people at face value, or what kind of "vibe" I get from them. Hillary is a bitch, Obama seems like a bit of a washed up douche, McCain annoys the hell out of me, and Huckabee seems denser than a bag of nickels. Plus, dude, we get it, you're Christian. You want a medal or something? I'm probably wrong about a few of those people, except Hillary. Bitch needs to get laid by someone at least 20 years younger than her. But yeah, I'm sick of hearing about it. What surprises me more is the sheer amount of students at my university that are involved in this stuff. You know, listening to college level students speak about what political affiliate they back is probably the most humorous thing in the world. Mostly because college-bound youngsters are fucking pretentious as hell and think they know everything. Newsflash Sparky: You wouldn't be in college if you knew everything. I may have made my vibe-based judgments, but it's not like I'm actually dumb enough to stand behind those when voting time rolls around. I'll do my research, vote, and shut the hell up about it.
Yeah, that's my political rant. Politics sucks ass. I'm not one for anarchy though, so I guess I'll just grin and bear it until this joyful season is over.
