Getting sozzled and trying to write anything, doesn't really work. I had a fairly good idea and then the sherry (and the single malt)  turned it into tripe.

I'm pretty sure that drunk writing does not excuse bad writing:  silly spelling errors that are gigglesome sure, but awful pacing and trite dialogue is no-one's idea of fun. I am not sure I can ( Read more... )

Leisurely breakfast is bliss. No frantic 'Drink your milk, you're going to be late!' 'Where's my dinner money?' 'I can't find my English homework!'. We are not organised at all in this house but it's all okay now and things can really go to pot over the next six weeks.  Lovely ( Read more... )

I can barely spell it, hell, I can't even say it (where exactly does the stress syllable go in osteopathy anyway?) but mine was an angel walking on earth. I can walk today without pain for the first time in a clear year.

That's a favourite epithet of mine by the way.  We have spent the day getting all medieval in MOD St Athan for a forces family fun day. It was, to be frank, bloody nobblin'...and tipping down.
