With the weekend over, my Halloween is winding down for this year. I guess that's bound to happen when it falls in the middle of the week, as it does this year.

I just had a mental image of Edward Scissorhands and Freddy Krueger teaming up for a water balloon toss competition. The team that's destined to fail.

Afterthought: That might be a half-way decent one panel comic with the right caption. My drawing skills are rusty, though, I haven't drawn in ages.

I just put together a set on flickr of the photos I've got of past Halloween costumes. There are a lot of missing gaps- I'm 1/3 of the world away from the voluminous boxes of unsorted photos that my mother has taken over the years, and I'm sure there are some shots of costumes from when I was a kid (I do have a few of those I'd scanned in last time ( Read more... )

Well, my early Halloween is now finished... though I may be able to find a few other events going on, but the part of it I'm doing any work for is over. And it was fun. Today I went out to the Annupuri Nook area to help set up and decorate for the Halloween Party on Saturday. They put me in a group with four Japanese guys and sent us upstairs to set up the dining hall area.
