Hiya, from Korea! :)
It's been a long time. A really long time. Life here's getting to normal and has reached a point where things are becoming routine-like. Normally, this would be cause for concern because that would mean I'm getting used to it here and I would soon find myself utterly bored out of my mind, etc etc. This is perhaps one of the reasons why I keep on wanting to get out of the States. Well, good thing for me that I still don't know the language so aside from that (but this is a big thing we're overlooking), everything's falling into place but I'm still very much intrigued by Korea. ^^
Here are some things that have been happening:
I visited Busan.
Friends visited me.
I visited Nonsan for their DELICIOUS strawberries.
I've had some interesting relationships go on, but they're currently on the down low.
I visited Seoul.
I had my first celebrity encounter in Daejeon in the form of Dalmation and I had a second encounter in Suwon via the Celebrity-filled soccer team, FC Men.
In Seoul, I went to Inkigayo and dropped in on Super Junior's Kiss the Radio with Leeteuk and Yesung, since Eunhyuk's out promoting with SuJu-M. <3 I can't tell you how absolutely out of my mind I was when I met them. It. Was. Amazing. There goes the idea that I'm not a huge SuJu fan anymore. >.> I hyperventilated among other things.
I worked. I love my students (most of the time) and they appear to love me (most of the time). Workload was piling on due to midterms - I can't believe my elementary kids have legit midterms - as well as competitions. My open class is coming up next month.
I've decided to learn some simple Korean recipes for when my sister comes visit, as she can't eat out.
I still love taekwondo but for some odd reason, it's getting harder than usual. I attribute this to my four-day weekend in Seoul. My next belt test is next month.
There are individual posts (plus pictures and other forms of media) on my Korea blog. I just felt like I've been neglecting my LJ for too long. >.>
