Happy 2012, Happy Year 3, Boom De Yada!

Siren's Pull mod team wishes everyone a very Happy New Year, and an early Happy Anniversary for this game, which has been successfully running for two full years now! We hope Year 3 will prove just as fun. A few quick reminders and updates:

I came here last October, honestly feeling pretty intimidated at joining such a big game. My only previous RP experience was in smaller communities and I didn't know how well I'd handle it. But right from the start everyone made me feel welcome and it made settling in so easy that two cycles later . . . whoops, I've got another character here! And here I am with four now, even though I lost the voice of my first.

I love how detailed and rich the setting is, how there's always something going on that characters can get involved in. Things can range from dark and violent to lighthearted and silly, and it never feels tacked on either way. The cross-canon CR is something to behold; I never imagined that Gohan would be rooming with the Espada, Unohana would mother Magneto, Celes would share baking stories with Rochelle, or that Hitsugaya would become best friends with Cinderella. (Honestly, who saw that one coming??) But it's all happened and it's all awesome.

I want to pick stand-out moments for each of my characters to link here, but I'm not sure how to narrow it all down, since so many amazing things have happened. Here goes:

Gohan asking about university and living arrangements. Yes, people. He likes school. Why do so many people think that's odd? He doesn't get it.

Unohana scares off AGI thugs. She did her part in the battle against AGI trying to lean on critical Newcomer institutions leading up to the big anti-slavery trial. It's one of my all-time favourite moments because I love being scary with her.

Celes kicks some Darkness monster ass. It was one of her first real forays into the Darkness, and a sign that she's worked through some of the depressive funk she was in when she got here.

Hitsugaya and Byakuya turn the tables on the Halloween-pranking frat kids. It's super hard to pick a single stand-out moment for Hitsugaya -- he's had so many! -- but this really is one of my favourites. See, fratboys? You don't mess with two shinigami captains, okay?

This game has continued to be amazing from the first moment I joined, and whether we go or stay, you're not getting rid of me, SP!
