Summary: Teito's NOT celebrating his 17th birthday while Frau works. Except he's never done so before. Really he's just hoping for a job as a busboy or something so he doesn't have to sit and wait on Frau to get off work anymore....

[Sitting at a corner table and drinking a tall glass of tea was not exactly the most exciting way to spend his well, it's either his sixteenth or seventeenth birthday. Especially without Mikage there to make it a day worth celebrating. Add in the fact that he couldn't seem to stop himself from brooding over Bishop Lance's words, or meeting Ayanami here, the 'knowledge' that he was Ayanami's Begleiter now something that was, quite possibly, a lie...
The fact that no one would give him honest answers about where Mikage had been stationed after they'd graduated.
And just who had Bishop Lance been referring to being killed by Ayanami?
Too many questions and not enough answers, and so here Teito sits, elbows on the table and fingers laced before his face as he broods over the same questions on endless repeat, fears and doubts plaguing his thoughts incessantly...]
