Who: Griffin O'Conner (
deadly_jump) and ANYONE who wants to encounter him.
When: Any time from today until next Sunday. Your choice! Odds are your chances will be better during Darkness.
Where: Also your choice! Just specifiy in the header, Griffin could be found anywhere. I will roll with it.
Summary: Griffin's been missing for a few days. The last anyone's heard from him, it was to report the death of one of his best friends in the Port. He's, er, working out his feelings. By killing all the things.
Warnings: Almost definitely violence and swearing. Absolutely definitely Griffin being a tool. Beyond that, who knows?
[He looks absolutely terrible. Even back home, Griffin usually didn't let his appearance slip so blatantly.
Then again, at home, he had places to go. He had back-up Lairs outside of his primary one with essentials at the ready. Here, all he had was Ella's place. Stupidly, he had started to believe that would be the only home he needed. So much for that.
His hair is so dirty that it's starting to fall flat. His dark-blue graphic t-shirt has rips in it. Bandages can be seen through the gaps, as he had his ribs wrapped. The bottom and sides of his boots are coated in some dark, thick goo. Four long scratches, clearly the work of claws, run diagonal down his face.
He's stealing again. He hadn't since he first started seeing a steady income. Food, first-aid items, weapons. Sometimes he'll go out with swords. (Griffin never learned how to fire a gun, as bullets and Jump scars don't mix.) Other nights, it will be his improvised pipes covered with barbed wire. He even has a flamethrower now. He really missed his flamethrower. It's just a pain in the ass getting liquid fuel.
Griffin has set up shop on the outskirts of town. The Pull generally discourages people from going out that far. It's a slight but persistant tug and it makes his stomach churn. He powers through it, it being far from the worst thing he's ever felt. In fact, it's a nice distraction from the stuff going on his head.
Carrie. Sarina. He had said to both of them that he'd look after them. Their deaths are a wake-up call to him. Since when does Griffin O'Conner look out for anyone but Griffin O'Conner? Just because there are no Paladins doesn't mean that he can afford to get sentimental now. Carrie's Darkness doppelganger had almost literally ripped him a new asshole. That's what sentimentality gets you. So screw it. Back to looking out for Number One.
It's just like old times.]
