When: Any time in the next two weeks or so.
Where: Siren's Port Police Department, holding cells.
Summary: Raphael has been arrested awaiting trial for all those assaults. Want to visit him?
Warnings: A really pissed off vampire behind bars, chance of verbal abuse 100%.
Notes: The starter's in prose, but either prose or commentspam is cool with me. I will follow suit with you.
The cell was small, but compared to the cells Raphael had seen in Rouen, it was practically luxurious. It was fairly clean. It was a modern building, so there were no drafts through the stones. There was an uncomfortable cot in the corner, but it was better than a pile of straw. Compared to where he could have been kept, this wasn't all that bad.
Not that Raphael was going to admit any of that. He was thoroughly dedicated to being as unpleasant as possible that the officers might leave him alone.
He had refused to change into the prison uniform, and so wore his own white shirt and trousers. A medic had bandaged his wounds from the chase, and had attempted to bandage the ugly, unnatural-looking scars that crossed his chest and back, but he struggled and yelled until he thought better of it and put him back in his cell. Even now, they were aching far more than the fresh wounds. Perhaps the darkness and the adrenaline of the chase had had a worse effect on him than he thought.
Above all, he was starving. He caught a glimpse of himself in the screen of his NV-- pale-skinned, bloodshot eyes looking less and less human, listless and sickly-looking in the face. He did not tell the guards about it. That would require speaking to them.
This unfortunately left him lying on the cot, writhing in discomfort as the thirst seemed to drain the energy from him. He covered his eyes with an arm to block the light from them-- light made it feel like something was trying to hammer its way out from inside his skull. His NV lay open on the floor beside the cot, and every so often he would reach down and replay Amy's voice from it.
For no matter how long he was imprisoned and how miserable he felt, he knew Amy's suffering was worse. Alone, abandoned, with no one to watch out for her...
Curse him for being so foolish to be torn from her again. He deserved this punishment for that alone.
