I will use my voice and I will use my fist...

Dec 20, 2010 16:01

Who: Laughing OCTOPUS and YOU
When: Saturday night, anytime within the darkness hours.
Where:  Any sparely populated area with monsters.
Summary: Sarina wants to figure out how to control the Beast side within her, so she's put herself in the middle of a crowd of monsters to induce the change. If one should stray from the more populated areas, they may come into contact with a hysterically laughing lady who resembles an octopus.
Warnings: Violence is a pretty sure thing here. She swears! Also, there's a reason I'm called the Queen of TL;DR (And this is the severely edited version too. Short tags are fine, so please don't be intimidated!). Should I warn for ink vomit?

Notes: Please fill her permissions post here, if you want to fight her. See here for details on her suit and developing ability. As stated, she can only be in the suit (at the moment) if her life's actually being threatened. So if one should come across her, she probably won't attack (unless you get in her way of attacking the monsters). However, if you DO attack her she's most definitely going to attack back and won't stop until either your character or she is subdued...or one of the two run away.

There's a possibility that if your character doesn't look human, she may mistake them for a Darkness monster...so TREAD CAREFULLY.

Also, I might tag with her beast account of 8_legs_of_lulz for extra icons. I'll write the opening post in prose...since I need practice with it, but action brackets are fine too. :>

In spite of all the warnings handed down to her, during her last network post, Sarina was out fighting monsters alone. Some people seemed to be convinced that the idea was stupid -- and she was inclined to agree -- but she also felt that she needed to do this. She needed to figure out how to control this Beast within her.

Approaching a crowd of Mutations, Sarina threw herself into her routine she adapted for the night: let her coat slide to the ground (in case she should change into the Octopus), take a deep breath, and start shooting everything that moved in sight. It seemed to be a useful tactic so far, though it took up a lot of bullets. Even if tips were rather generous this year, her waitressing job didn't exactly accommodate the funds to buy very many ammunition cases. After firing the last few rounds from her M16 rifle, she dropped it to the ground, next to her coat.

"Fuck," she muttered to herself. Why did she think this was a good idea again? Giggling nervously, she reached for a hunting knife she kept on her. However, even if she was actually far more familiar with the small blade, rather than the gun, the monsters seemed pretty apathetic about it.

"Go away!" she exclaimed, with a nervous waver in her voice. Though her grin cracked to an unnatural proportion, she was scared shitless. "I know how to use this!"

Raising her free hand, she clung it to the side of her face, as she felt her other side creeping into her mind. The scary side...the side that made her feel safe.

"I'll cut you to little pieces, you bastards!" she paused, bending over to chuckle harder. When she glanced back up, her eyes were widened in her delirium. "Funny...so funny..."

Though this display might freak out most people, it still didn't have an effect on the assortment of monsters around her. At this point, the commotion was enough to attract not only the Mutations, but also a few Bitter Children here and there. As the hoard closed in nearer to her, her cackling only became more rigid. As she once told Snake, she didn't laugh because it was funny, she laughed because she was scared.

"It's all so...hysterical!" Repeating this manta she had become so familiar with, in her original world, she paused to catch her breath between laughs. Raising her head to the sky, she took a deep inhalation of breath, before feeling herself levitate a couple of feet in the air. To those who may have observed this event, it must have been truly strange to watch the speedy change of this Laughing Beauty becoming Laughing Octopus.

"Laugh..." she spoke with a noticeable change in her voice. Mostly that she seemingly spoke with two voices at once: her own, and a growling, masculine, and almost demonic second voice. "...laugh with me!"

Not even giving a pause to consider the change she went through, she immediately knocked back the line of monsters in front of her with one of the tentacles of her suit. The next second, she used another tentacle to stab through the chest of another monster. Maybe the shell of Sarina was within the suit of the Octopus somewhere, but at the moment, she wasn't quite herself. It was true that a small part of her took glee in this kind of adrenaline, even outside of the suit, but now it completely overcame her. She needed to needed to stay alive, she needed to she needed to make those bastards around her suffer, but most of all she would have the last laugh!

As another group of monsters closed in on her, the Octopus curled to a ball on the ground to allow her suit to dispense a black, blinding ink. Seeing how they were of all low intelligence, none of them thought to turn around as this was going on. Taking the chance to take advantage of this opening, she maneuvered her way out of the crowd, jumping up to use a street lamp as a lever to swing to a bigger enemy -- the Sharp-fisted Ape.

"Let's play." she growled out deviously. As she gave another scary laugh, she slithered to the monster's side, unconcerned with the horde of the smaller fry approaching her. "I'll leave the ground covered in your ink!"
