When: December 20, late afternoon/early evening
Where: Some dancing hall, man, you know Siren's Port has to have one or two.
Summary: Dancing! Distractions! Flirting? Who knows!

There was, of course, the desire to spend time with her, that hadn't been a lie; Jack geniunely liked the girl and enjoyed his conversations with her. But there was also the desire to escape the house with a legitimate excuse, and, in doing so, escape the awkward air that had developed between he and Sirius. Though, Jack had to admit, it wasn't as bad as it had been a week ago. Then they could barely stand to be in the same room with one another. Now, it was just certain topics that were off-limits-- things like mistletoe or dating, or hell, even clubs. Anything that might remind them of that horrific night two weeks ago when they'd--
Well. No use thinking of it now, Jack told himself firmly, and focused on thinking about the girl in whose direction he was currently headed. Ella. Yes. Ella, who was from an entirely different time period, just as he was; Ella, who seemed fun, if not a touch mysterious in her actions; Ella, who, hopefully, would be at least a halfway decent dancing partner, and if not that, at least a good distraction.
He knocked on the door three times and then stood back, shoving one hand into his pocket, only a touch of nervousness in his actions.
