[The NV starts recording as it impacts with the floor - there's a blur as it tumbles down several stairs, other, colorful things tumbling with it. At the bottom of that flight, it lands face-up, recording a very stunned-and-then angry young boy in a boy tie, staring at the remains of the two grocery bags he just dropped.]

What a mess.

[Kindly] Is replaceable. What did you lose? Milk, bread, how badly damaged is the fruit?

They'll be fine. It's just a few bruises.

I made a mess, though... do you think they'll let me borrow a mop from the janitor? I don't want them to get mad and kick me out, it's dangerous out there. And cold.

You can get food for free from some of the churches, they've got food pantries.

Yeah?

I don't really like churches, but I guess I'll have to give it a go.

They'll try and make you hang around and...listen to stuff, but really it's worth the free food. Especially when you're starting out here.

[Czes has to pause and consider that. In all honesty, he's not sure it is worth it to him, considering he's run afoul of religious folks who wanted to burn him alive as a witch in the past, and he's technically able to survive without food forever, he just gets hungry.]

I guess you're right. I mean, it's there for people like us, after all.

[Sigh.]

Still haven't fixed that elevator, have they?

The way they made it sound, that elevator hasn't worked in years.

Well, I know for a fact it hasn't been operational in at least 5 months.

Why don't they fix them? It's really tough for people with short legs.

They're still good, even if they're a little bruised. [ The apples and oranges he means. ] An' you can probably find somethin' to do with the bread even if it's milky. Don't waste it!

They won't be so bad, but I don't know how I'm going to get it up these steps. I'm going to have to make a bunch of trips, and the bread might fall apart by then...

I live in the Tower Apartments. Are you going to be okay coming all this way by yourself?

[LOL some of his 'old man' is showing.]

Though - are you alright?

I'm fine. I was trying to shift the weight and I ended up dropping both bags. [mumbling]

I think I'm on floor six or so? I have to cross over on the seventh floor, then up two more flights.
