[Good afternoon, Siren's Port. Your resident sheepdog is sitting on his desk in the Felton Theater offices, some papers in his hands. He's dressed kind of casually for a manager but whatever, details, you know. He's looking at one paper in particular.]
Might be a little young to do this, but I was wondering how someone goes about investing in a business. I know we don't have... [He has to look at a paper.] ...a stock market? I mean, there's AGI and SERO stock but that's all that's really there. And the business I'm looking at is kind of small-time, anyway. I don't think it would have any actual stock.
[He turns the paper over and sighs.]
...Guess I could just hand the owner a check, I guess.
[Business isn't his thing. He shrugs, setting the papers down.]
We have a lot of new arrivals now, so I figured some recruiting is in order. My name is Riku and I'm the manager of the Felton Theater in the Underground Mall. We do several productions throughout the year, both musicals and simple plays, and we also showcase artwork often. We have a dance company here too, but you'd have to speak with Jinx about qualifications.
[He leans back on the desk.]
I'm also head of security at Lion's Gate, which is an upscale club in Sector Six. It's expensive - three hundred dollars a plate - and it's open all night long. It has an observatory attached to it, too, for stargazing. A lot of corporate people use it for their business meetings. [Was that a suggestion? Possibly.] Anyway, we're hiring for security personnel. If you're good at fighting and have a fairly clean record here, you can stop by and show me what you've got. We'll see about hiring you.
[He holds up a finger.] It's business attire. You'll have something of a uniform. If you don't want to wear it, then don't bother applying. It's a simple getup, nothing too fancy, but I know some people are turned off by that sort of thing.
If nothing else, I can give you some suggestions for jobs if nothing I've said caught your interest. I've been here a little over a year and a half now. [He smiles faintly.] I know my way around here.
